Tri-Cultural Fusion!!!!!

So you have heard about this. Are you curious to know more about this? Then here is your chance.

So Tri Cultural Fusion is an International Service initiative that includes a series of team-based, fun, and engaging activities to interact with fellow rotaractors as a cultural exchange followed by service across the 3 organizing districts, which are Rotary International District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldive, RID 9370 South Africa and Lesotho, RID 2452 Armenia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and UAE.

Now you might have a question, why do we have an initiative like this. So mainly, this project aimed to foster friendships amongst the Rotaractors from the 3 organizing districts, enable participants to carry out meaningful international service projects in the future, and encourage participants to identify issues in the 3 Rotary International Districts involved and design and implement international service projects to address them in the future.

Focusing on all these objectives, phase 1 of the project commenced on the 17th of January with a grand opening ceremony graced by the 3 District Rotaract Representatives, Rtn. Rtr. PP Akhila Wijetunge from RID 3220, Rtr. Ts’olo from RID 9370 and Rtr. Yasmina El Assi from RID 2452.

Through phase 1, the objective was to improve the fellowship and get Rotaractors to understand each culture. Yes, that is why this is named the most prominent cultural exchange in the Rotaract in RID 3220. Phase 1 spanned 3 weeks, and 10 teams were allowed to compete with each other by completing relevant tasks given by the host districts. So the first 3 days, 19th, 20th, and 22nd were assigned to RID 3220, 25th, 27th, and 29th January were assigned to RID 2452, and 1st, 3rd, and 5th February were assigned to RID 9370.

So during these weeks, the team had to go through several activities to get to know about all these countries involved and their cultures. They had to answer questions about countries; they had to solve puzzles, and also there were a few sessions about these districts too. They were really interactive sessions with the Rotaractors, and they enjoyed this a lot through this project.

And after these 3 week-long activities, the closing ceremony of the first phase of the Tri-cultural Fusion was held on the 6th of February.

Then we had the service project aligned with the Community and Economic Development, Rotary Focus Area. Rotaractors in RID 9370 South Africa and Lesotho were able to donate necessary clothes to people in cold areas, and also, they were able to donate food items to university students. Not only that, Rotaractors in RID 3220 organized 2 awareness sessions on Global Economic Challenges and Managing Personal Finance by Mr. Dhananath Fernando, Chief Operations Officer at Advocate Institute for Sri Lanka and South Africa and Lesotho. This was a timely and interactive session for all the participants, and this imperative session made Rotaractors aware of the current economic crisis and the proposed solutions.

With that, the “Tri-Cultural Fusion” came to an end by fostering friendships among all those Rotaractors, and it is evident that Rotaractors work towards “Fellowship through Service.”

Tri-Cultural Fusion කියන්නේ මොකක්ද කියලා කලින් දැන්ගෙන හිටියෙ නැද්ද? මෙන්න එහෙනම් ඒ ගැන දැනගන්න හොඳම අවස්ථාවක්..

අපේ International Service Team එකෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරපු ව්‍යාපෘතියක් තමයි මේ Tri-Cultural Fusion කියන්නෙ. මෙය රොටරි අන්තර්ජාතික දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 9370 South Africa and Lesotho හා රොටරි අන්තර්ජාතික දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 2452 Armenia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and UAE හි රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් සමඟින් අපේ රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් කණ්ඩායම් ගතවී, විවිධ විනෝද ක්‍රීඩා මෙන්ම විවිධ සැසි වැනි වැඩසටහන් රැසක් පැවැත් වූ ව්‍යාපෘතියක්. මෙහි මූලිකම අරමුණ වුණේ මේ දිස්ත්‍රික්ක අතර සංස්කෘතික හුවමාරුවකට අවස්ථාව ලබා දීමයි.

අපි බලමු ඇයි ඇත්තටම මේ වගේ ව්‍යාපෘතියක් අපිට අවශ්‍ය වුණේ කියලා. සංස්කෘතික හුවමාරුවට අමතරව, මෙම දිස්ත්‍රික්කවල රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජික සාමාජිකාවන් අතර මිත්‍රත්වය වර්ධනය කිරීම හා ඇතිකිරීම, වඩාත් නිර්මාණශීලී හා ඵලදායී International Service ව්‍යාපෘති ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට මෙන් ම මෙම දිස්ත්‍රික්ක තුළ පවතින ගැටලු හඳුනාගෙන ඒවාට විසඳුම් සැලසුම් කොට ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට අවස්ථාව සලසා දීම මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට මූලික අරමුණු වුණා.

මේ තියෙන අරමුණුත් එක්කම, මේ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ පළවෙනි අදියර පටන් ගත්තා. මෙම පළමු අදියර ජනවාරි 17 ආරම්භ වූ අතර මේ අවස්ථාවට දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 3ම දිස්ත්‍රික්ක රොටරැක්ට් නියෝජිතවරු, RID 3220 හි Rtn. Rtr. PP Akhila Wijetunge, RID 9370 හි Rtr. Ts’olo සහ RID 2452 හි Rtr. Yasmina El Assi සම්බන්ධ වී ඔවුන්ගේ අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කළා.

මෙහි අදියර 1 තුළින් රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජිකයන් අතර මිත්‍රත්වය වර්ධනයට වගේම මේ දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 3හි සංස්කෘතීන් ගැන දැනගැනීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබුණා. සති 3 ක් පුරාවට තිබුණ මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය, එක් සතියකදී එක් දිස්ත්‍රික්කයකට අදාළ වන ක්‍රියාකාරකම් පවත්වමින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වුණා. ඒ විදිහට RID 3220 වුණ අපේ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයට ජනවාරි 19, 20 හා 22 යන දිනයන් ද RID 2452 ට ජනවාරි 25,27 හා 29 යන දිනයන් ද RID 9370ට පෙබරවාරි 1,3 හා 5 යන දිනයන්ද වෙන් වුණා.

ඉතින් මේ සති තුන ඇතුළත මේ කණ්ඩායම්වලට විවාධ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් කරන්න වුණා. ඒවායින් මෙම දිස්ත්‍රික්ක සම්බන්ධ වෙලා තියෙන රටවල් වල සංස්කෘතීන් ගැන දැනගන්ක පුළුවන්කම ලැබුණා. ඒ වගේම විවධ ප්‍රශ්න විචාරාත්මක වැඩසටහන්, ප්‍රේහේළිකා පිරවීම් හා දැනුවත් කිරීමේ දේශන කිහිපයක්ද පැවැත්වුණා. මේ ක්‍රියාකරකම් තුළින් සහභාගි වුණ හැමෝටම විනෝදජනක වගේම අලුත් අත්දැකීමක්ද ලැබුණ බව නම් සැකයක් නැ.

සති තුනක් පුරා විහිදුණු මේ වැඩසටහන, ඒ කියන්නේ TCF පළවෙනි අදියර පෙබරවාරි 6 වැනි සමාප්ති වැඩසටහනක් සමඟින් අවසන් වුණේ දෙවැනි අදියර තුළිනි හමුවන බලාපොරාත්තුවෙන්.

ඉතින් TCF දෙවැනි අදියරේදී රොටරි මූලික අරමුණක් වූ සමාජ හා ආර්ථික සංවර්ධනයට අපේ අවධානය යොමුවුණා. එහිදී RID 9370 South Africa and Lesotho රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජිකයන් ශීත ප්‍රදේශවල සිටින ජනතාවට අවශ්‍ය ඇඳුම් ලබා දීමද විශ්ව විද්‍යාල සිසුන් සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය ලබාදීමද සිදු කළ අතර RID 3220 හි අපි Global Economic Challenges and Managing Personal Finance යටතේ Mr. Dhananath Fernando(Chief Operations Officer at Advocate Institute) ගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් සැසිවාර දෙකක් පැවැත්වූවා. මෙය කාලීන මෙන්ම දැනුම වර්ධනය කරගන්න අවස්ථාවක් ලබාදුන් දේශන දෙකක් වුණා.

මෙයත් සමඟින් “Tri-Cultural Fusion” අවසන් වුණේ සහභාගී වූ රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජිකයන් අතර සම්බන්ධතාවයන් වැඩිකරමින් බව නිසැකයි.

Tri Cultural Fusion என்பது ஒரு சர்வதேச சேவை செயற்றிடமாகும். இது குழு அடிப்படையிலான, சுவாரஸ்யமான மற்றும் அனைவரையும் ஈடுபாட்டுடன் வைத்திருக்கும் செயல்பாடுகளை உள்ளடக்கியது. இது ஒரு கலாச்சார பரிமாற்றமாக சக றோட்டறக்ட் அங்கத்தவர்களுடன் தொடர்புகளை ஏற்படுத்துவதுடன் தொடர்ச்சியாக இந்த செயற்றிட்டத்தினை மேற்கொள்ளும் மூன்று மாவட்டங்களிலும் சேவையை வழங்குகின்றது. இதில் Rotary International District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldive, RID 9370 South Africa and Lesotho, RID 2452 Armenia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and UAE கியன இணைந்து கொண்டுள்ளன.

Rtr. PP அகிலா விஜேதுங்கே.  RID 9370 இலிருந்து Rtr. Ts’olo மற்றும் 2452 இலிருந்து யாஸ்மினா எல் அசி ஆகியோரும் பங்கேற்றனர்.

முதற் பகுதி மூலம், றோட்டறக்டர்களுக்கிடையிலாம நட்புறவினை மேம்படுத்துவதும் ஒவ்வொரு கலாச்சாரத்தையும் பற்றி புரிந்துகொள்ளுவதும் இதன் நோக்கமாக அமைந்திருந்தது.  ஆம், அதனால்தான் இது RID 3220 இன் றோட்டறக்டின் மிக முக்கியமான கலாச்சார பரிமாற்றமாக இது பெயரிடப்பட்டது. முதற் பகுதியானது 3 வாரங்கள் நீடித்தது. மேலும் 10 அணிகளுக்கிடியிலான போட்டிகளும் நடாத்தப்பட்டன.  இதன்படி முதல் 3 நாட்கள், ஜனவரி 19, 20 மற்றும் 22 ஆம் திகதிகள் RID 3220 க்கும், 25, 27 மற்றும் 29 ஆம் திகதிகள் RID 2452 க்கும், பிப்ரவரி 1, 3 மற்றும் 5 ஆம் தேதிகள் RID 9370 க்கும் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டன.

இந்த வாரங்களில், குழுவில் இணைந்துள்ள இந்த நாடுகள் அவற்றின் கலாச்சாரங்களைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்துகொள்ள பல நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டியிருந்தது.  நாடுகளைப் பற்றிய கேள்விகளுக்கு அவர்கள் பதிலளிக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. அவர்கள் புதிர்களுக்கு பதிலளிக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. மேலும் இந்த மாவட்டங்களைப் பற்றிய சில அமர்வுகளும் நடைபெற்றன. மேலும் இதில் நடைபெற்ற அனைத்து செயற்பாடுகளும் சுவாரஸ்யமாக அமைந்திருந்தன.

இந்த 3 வார கால நடவடிக்கைகளுக்குப் பிறகு, முப்பெரும் கலாச்சார இணைவின் முதற் பகுதியின் நிறைவு விழா பெப்ரவரி 6 ஆம் திகதி நடைபெற்றது.

பின்னர் சமூகம் மற்றும் பொருளாதார மேம்பாடு என்னும் றோட்டறி இலக்கின் கீழ் நாங்கள் செயற்றிட்டத்தினை ஒழுங்கமைத்தோம்.  RID 9370 தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா மற்றும் லெசோதோவில் உள்ள றோட்டறக்டர்கள் குளிர் பிரதேசங்களில் உள்ள மக்களுக்கு தேவையான ஆடைகளை நன்கொடையாக வழங்கியிருந்தனர். மேலும், அவர்களால் பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்களுக்கு உணவு பொருட்களையும் வழங்க முடிந்தது.  அது மட்டுமல்லாமல், RID 3220 இல் உள்ள றோட்டறக்டர்கள் இலங்கை மற்றும் தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா மற்றும் லெசோதோவிற்கான அட்வகேட் இன்ஸ்டிட்யூட் பிரதம செயற்பாட்டு அதிகாரி திரு.தனநாத் பெர்னாண்டோவினால் உலகளாவிய பொருளாதார சவால்கள் மற்றும் தனிப்பட்ட நிதி முகாமைத்துவம் பற்றிய 2 விழிப்புணர்வு அமர்வுகளை ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது.  

பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இது சரியான நேரத்தில் ஒரு பொருத்தமான அமர்வாக இருந்தது. மேலும் இந்த அமர்வானத்ய் தற்போதைய பொருளாதார நெருக்கடி மற்றும் முன்மொழியப்பட்ட தீர்வுகள் குறித்து றோட்டறக்டர்களுக்கு தெரியப்படுத்தியது.

அத்துடன், அந்த றோட்டறக்டர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இடையே நட்புறவை வளர்ப்பதன் ஊடாக “Tri-Cultural Fusion” செயற்றிட்டமாமது முடிவுக்கு வந்தது. மேலும் றோட்டறக்டர்கள் “சேவை மூலம் கூட்டுறவு” நோக்கி செயல்படுகிறார்கள் என்பது இதனூடாக தெளிவாகின்றது.
